WHEN AND WHERE DID THE SHOW HAPPEN?
The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2018 took place on November 8.
You will be able to watch the show on TV and online on December 2 and discover what happened with the pink-carpet interviews, model profiles and a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the event included.
In the US it will be shown on ABC Network. A UK channel has not been confirmed yet, but last year UK residents were able to watch it using the streaming app HayU.
WHICH MODELS WALKED IN THE SHOW?
The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2018 invited over 60 models to participate in the show, the names included iconic supermodels such as Gigi Hadid, Kendall Jenner, Devon Windsor, Shanina Shaik and #MVBabes Gizele Oliveira and Leomie Anderson.
Kelsey was also described as a rising star by British Vogue as she made history as the first Filipino woman to walk the runway at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.
Adriana Lima also walked for the last time. Adriana is Victoria’s Secret’s longest-serving Angel, and the 2018 extravaganza marked her 20th show for the lingerie brand.
The Brazilian beauty, 37, received a standing ovation as she strutted her stuff after announcing this year’s glamorous New York event would be her last.
She was honoured with a video montage of her standout moments and walked a victory lap of the stage as crowds cheered her on.
This year, Charlotte Tilbury was the official beauty sponsor for the iconic show.
The artist described how:
The look is an angelic filter for the face that enhances what nature has naturally blessed you with — with this look you will cast a spell on the world!
The cosmetics used in this year’s show cost a total of $918 and are all available online, which means you can test their runway glam on your own glowing skin.
Bebe Rexha, The Chainsmokers, Halsey, Kelsea Ballerini, Rita Ora, Shawn Mendes and The Struts, comprised the all-star line-up of musical guests. Victoria’s Secret executive producer Ed Razek said how:
The show is a year-long production, and 2018 promises to be our most ambitious yet.
We have more musical guests, more fashion and more stories than ever; and, of course, 60 of the world’s top models.
WHAT DID THE MODELS WEAR?
The catwalk extravaganza showcased the brand’s latest designer collaboration with Mary Katrantzou.
The London Fashion Week star presented her floral fantasy capsule collection for the first time, with high anticipation after model Josephine Skriver previewed a look from the capsule during the fittings of the show, which indeed lived up to its name.
THE FANTASY BRA
Sweedish model Elsa Hosk was chosen to wear the Victoria’s Secret Fantasy Bra.
This year’s show-stopping piece was created using 100 per cent Swarovski Diamonds and responsibly sourced topaz. Valued at $1 million, the 2018 Dream Angels Fantasy Bra and body chain was adorned with over 2,100 Swarovski Created Diamonds in a sterling silver Dream Angels bra silhouette.
The set took over 930 hours to create and has over 71 carats with the centrepiece. For the first time, customers will be able to purchase a version of the Victoria’s Secret Dream Angels Fantasy Bra made with Swarovski crystals for $250 on Thursday, 29 November at selected Victoria’s Secret stores and victoriassecret.com.
