Bright colours and a front row power trio consisting of Gwyneth Paltrow, Naomi Campbell, and Celine Dion were amongst the key highlights noted from Valentino’s creative director, Pierpaolo Piccioli’s show this season, as the collection combined a mixture of emotions, imagination and incredible artisanal skills.

Extravagance is individuality in its purest, rawest form. At the close of the #ValentinoHauteCouture #FallWinter1920 show in Paris, creative director @pppiccioli stood alongside models in a diversity of fringes, forms, patterns and plumes. Video by @fashiontomax
It’s inside the Hotel Salomon de Rothschild that Pierpaolo Piccioli chose to present his show, that he described as a:
“fantasy of flowers”
Embroidered on the gowns or on the headpieces, flowers were the center theme of the runway this season for Valentino. Even the jewels were flower-based, the earrings were eccentric and shoulder length. An extravagance lesson with flowers.
Like last season, the Valentino show is a color shot! The 67 silhouettes each created a surprise of freshness. He played with the color palettes to give us head to toe shots of color.
The color palette was incredible, purple, lime, pink, emerald, turquoise or sulky red, not only a fashion event, but also an art one. This is what happens when fashion and art come together.
FRONT ROW ON POINT
Pierpaolo Piccioli created an ode to diversity in every way, in ethnicities and age with the models walking for him.
Lauren Hutton, the seventies top stole the show, when she walked in the new Couture collection of the Italian designer. The 75-year-old woman was dressed in a green dress and red leather long gloves with sparkles. She was met with applauses by the audience when walking the runway!
The perfect show to close fashion week, a hit of pure fantastical beauty!
