LVMH X RIHANNA
This new partnership confirms Rihanna as the first woman of colour to create a brand at the top of an LVMH Maison.
Her undeniable influence follows after her recent successful collaboration with Puma, paving the way for her media domination as a multi-talented creative.
The first collection is set to be realised any day now, with the launch anticipated for Spring 2019, this is a bold mood signaling the designer’s intention and ability to shake up the marketplace.
BURBERRY X GIGI
Last August, Burberry got a face lift when its new chief creative officer, Riccardo Tisci, revealed a new brand logo and “TB” monogram print. This groundbreaking news hit the fashion world by storm since it was the first major identity change for the British brand in 20 years.
Tisci originally unveiled the print in tan and orange, but for its debut campaign the TB monogram print is cast in a neutral palette of chocolate brown, chestnut brown, beige, with red stripes laid on top of the print.
Photographed by Nick Knight, Gigi Hadid appears in their new fall campaign and reveals the new print and monogrammed pieces inspired by an archive print in the form of nylon coats, silk trousers, t-shirts, and even a yoga mat.
Gigi first collaborated with the brand earlier this year when she made her runway debut for the Burberry show, but Tisci told WWD how he had been wanting to work with her for a while now, but just wanted to wait for the right time and right project.
I have so much love and respect for her whole family, so it felt very familiar working on such a special first campaign.
GIVENCHY X ARIANNA
The French fashion house posted a black and white video which showed a silhouette of Grande as she is styled in basic black and pearls.
Her signature style and classic ponytail was instantly recognisable as she drives the Givenchy brand into a new era of recognition, especially amongst her younger fan base.
